Trails for every rider in Rhinelander
Rhinelander has trails perfect for beginning trail riders and others suited for more advanced riders seeking challenging single-track. Here are three ideas to get yourolling in Hodag Country.
Family friendly option: the Bearskin State Trail
This gentle trail west of Rhinelander runs for 18 miles and features a crushed granite surface that’s suitable for mountain bikes and hybrid bikes. It’s a perfect trail for an easy solo ride or a ride with the family.
For trail riders: Mud Lake Trail
Mountain bikers will enjoy eight miles of single-track and double-track riding on the Mud Lake trail, located three miles north of Rhinelander.
Advanced riding: The CAVOC Trails
The CAVOC trails offer 5 miles of challenging forest loops. The trails are located off South Shore Drive near Holiday Acres Resort.
The Rhinelander Area Silent Trails Association (RASTA) works to build and maintain trails and is a good source of additional trail information, including maps.
Note: The Rhinelander Area is open, and all visitors are welcome. Please travel safely and responsibly. Some businesses and events may have modified hours or procedures; please contact businesses or event organizers directly for specific information.
