Bearskin State Trail
Harshaw Road, Harshaw
This recreation trail and former railroad corridor connects Minocqua and Tomahawk. Named after Bearskin Creek, which the trail follows, this level trail features a compacted granite surface that’s ideal for biking, walking, and running. Scenic forest views and a connection to the Hiawatha Trail make it a favorite destination for outdoor recreation. During the winter months, the northern section becomes part of the local snowmobile trail system.
This is a level trail suitable for beginners with multiple parking areas. Connects to Hiawatha Trail near Heafford Junction.
Directions: South trailhead near Hwy K & Hwy 51. North trailhead in Minocqua.
Mileage: 18 miles
Trail Surface: Crushed granite, Groomed (Snowmobiling)
