Where to Enjoy Live Music in Rhinelander This Summer

From solo acts to group performances, acoustic artists to jazz, and everything in-between, you are bound to hear something you enjoy! Here are several opportunities to take in the live music this summer in Rhinelander.

 

Outdoor Concerts

Hodag Park Concert Series

Stop by the new Hodag Park Amphitheater for the first-ever summer concert series! Some of the performers include Scott Kirby, Santy and Son with Friends, and Jenna Jane.

Dates: Every other Tuesday, 6:30-8:30pm. May 30- Sept. 5

Cost: Free

 

Concerts on the Riverwalk

Riverwalk concerts feature a variety of musical groups and genres, including the Rhinelander Area Community Band, The Northwoods Ukers (ukulele group), Northwoods Jazz Group, and more.

Dates: Every Wednesday, 7pm. June 7-August 16

Cost: Free; donations appreciated.

 

Music Festivals

Hodag Country Fest

Held in Rhinelander since 1978, Hodag Country Fest is an annual music festival that features popular country music performers. This year, the headliners will be Tyler Hubbard, Martina McBride, HARDY, and LOCASH.

Dates: July 6-9th 2023

Cost: Ticketed event- prices vary. Tickets are available online.

 

Project North

Project North is Rhinelander’s music, art and sustainability festival. Music is held all day on Friday and Saturday of the festival, on multiple stages!

Dates: September 15 + 16

Cost: 2-Day pass $60 (price increases after 8/1/23), 1-Day pass $45. Ticket available online.

 

Music & Arts Venues

ArtStart

Check out ArtStart’s Roots Concert Series, showcasing talented artists throughout the region!

Dates: Third Thursday of each month, 7pm. (Except September- check out Project North!).

Cost: No ticket needed- $10 donation recommended to support the artist.

ArtStart also holds a monthly “In Progress” Open Mic event on the last Wednesday of each month at 7pm. Bring your artistic works of all kinds, whether it is a poem, song, film, or painting! Sign up to perform on ArtStart’s website.

 

Nicolet College

Nicolet Live! offers a variety of performing arts events, including music, theater, and more throughout the year.
