Explore the beauty of Rhinelander’s Northwoods on groomed trails perfect for snowshoeing, fat biking and cross-country skiing. Here are a few of our favorite spots and the latest trail conditions.

Cross-country skiing

East of Rhinelander, cross-country skiers will find a rolling trail system ideal for a winter workout. The CAVOC Trails are a good place for experienced skiers or those who want to practice their skills. You wont find a lot of flat terrain at CAVOC; beginners may want to first find their ski legs on the Rhinelander Community Ski Trails.

Located in a forested 160-acre park, the trail will take you through frozen wetlands and past scenic lookouts of Buck Lake, a small, picturesque glacial lake. The trail is located about 5 miles south of Rhinelander on Hixon Lake Road.
