Two Great Ski Trails to Try
Late winter is the ideal time to cross-country ski in the Rhinelander Area.
The area offers an abundance of options, with trails for both beginners and more advanced skiers. These two trails are among the very best in the Northwoods.
Cassian County Two-Way Trail
Many people consider this trail to be the top skiing option in the region. And it’s no wonder. With 15 miles of outstanding trails and wonderful scenery, it’s pure skiing pleasure. The trail is located 5.5 miles west of Highway 47 on Hwy K. A trail pass is required and can be purchased at at the trailhead.
Nose Lake County Trail
Located twelve miles west of Rhinelander between Highway K and Highway 8, Nose Lake County Trail offers five- and nine-mile loops over varied terrain. There are sections for beginners as well as intermediate-level skiers. A trail pass is required and can be purchased at the trailhead.
