Rhinelander Fall Color Guide
Dramatic colors will soon arrive in the Rhinelander Area. Maples will turn brilliant hues of orange and red; oaks turn red, brown or russet; birch leaves turn bright yellow, while poplars take on a golden yellow. We have some tips on when and where you can see the best colors.
When to see the best fall colors
When do the colors turn? Determining the best days for fall color in Rhinelander is an imprecise science and to some extent, a matter of opinion. Usually, the best fall colors can be found from late September through early October. The weeks before and after this period can be beautiful as well. Early-season days can be spectacular as trees begin to flash their fall colors. Late-season days can also be incredible, as new views open along the shores of our sparkling lakes and flocks of migratory birds fill the sky. Check our site for the latest fall color report.
