Rhinelander has everything you need for a memorable guys' weekend, whether you're looking to relax, hit the trails, or spend time on the water. With plenty of outdoor recreation, local flavor, and unique experiences, it's the perfect Northwoods getaway for making great memories with friends.
Visit the Rhinelander Brewing Company
Kick off your weekend with a visit to the Rhinelander Brewing Company, located right in downtown Rhinelander. Learn about the brewery’s rich and fascinating history through a guided tour and enjoy a tasting of their locally brewed beers, including the classic Rhinelander Shorty. While you’re there, grab a souvenir from the gift shop area or a pack of beer to enjoy later.
Spend the Day on an Area Lake
With over 1,100 lakes in Oneida County, there’s no shortage of spots to cast a line, kick back, and soak up the sun. Whether you’re into fishing or just want to float and relax, you’ll find the perfect lake. Visit Mel’s Trading Post in town to stock up on supplies, tackle, and any outdoor gear you might need. Don’t have a boat? No problem! Shoeder’s RV & Marine offers rentals so you can get out on the water with ease.
Play a Round of Golf at Northwood Golf Club
Enjoy a scenic round at Northwood Golf Club, Rhinelander’s 18-hole municipal golf course. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Northwoods, it’s a great way to spend a few hours with friends. After your round, head to the on-site restaurant and bar for a relaxing lunch and cold drinks.
Explore local Eateries
No guys’ weekend is complete without great food! Rhinelander has some must-visit spots, like CT’s Deli, offering great sandwiches, soup, paninis and more. For a classic Wisconsin dining experience, head to Fireside Supper Club — a warm, cabin-style venue known for its Friday night fish fry and Saturday night prime rib.
Ride an Area Trail System
Take an ATV ride on the Enterprise Trail System for miles of winding trails through the scenic forest. The Enterprise ATV/UTV trail system has about 19 miles of woods trail, 27 miles of open county forest roads and 4 miles of trail-connecting road routes. The trail system connects with Langlade County trails and Lincoln County trails if you’d like to continue your ride.
Check out the Spars Collection
Stop by the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport and explore the Spars Collection, an impressive and expansive display of sports memorabilia. You’ll find autographed items, rare programs, and historic artifacts from a variety of teams and athletes. It’s a hidden gem for any sports enthusiast.
