Located in the heart of Rhinelander, Boom Lake is a flowage on the Wisconsin River offers a convenient option for outdoor recreation, whether visitors are fishing, boating or paddling. Anglers will find musky, panfish, bass, pike and walleye. Canoers, kayakers and boaters can use the lake as a starting point to explore the Wisconsin River, the Rhinelander Flowage and other waterways. Public access is available at a boat launch in Hodag Park.
