Mel’s Trading Post is a Rhinelander institution and the perfect place to gear up for your outdoor adventure no matter the season. Open in downtown since 1946, Mel’s offers a wide selection of apparel, footwear, camping supplies, fishing gear, and much more, as well as ski and snowshoe rentals in the winter and paddlesports and bike rentals in the warmer months. Rhinelander’s Briar House isn’t just a spot for great coffee drinks and tasty bakery items—though you’ll find plenty of those here, too—it’s also a gift shop and upscale women’s clothing store. Browse their vast selection of gifts, including books, candles, travel mugs, and more, or peruse a wide array of women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. Lattitude’s, an independently owned boutique in downtown Rhinelander, also boasts an impressive collection of clothes, jewelry, gifts, and accessories, and Northwoods Embroidery & Gifts is a great place to find Rhinelander and Hodag gear.

The Hodag Store at B&B Resale has pretty much any Hodag gift you’d ever need, from stuffed animals and bobbleheads to t-shirts and bumper stickers. Stop by or order online to find the perfect item for the Hodag lover on your list. Fun Factory Sweet Shoppe sells lots of tasty treats like fresh-dipped caramel apples and truffles, but you can also find a good selection of Hodag- and Rhinelander-themed gifts and sweets. Pick up a solid chocolate Hodag or a gift box of “Hodag paws” (caramel, chocolate, and your choice of pecans or cashews).
