Head just west from downtown Rhinelander to find Fireside Supper Club on Townline Lake, your home for steaks, seafood and ribs in a cozy cabin-like setting. Don’t miss the Friday fish fry (featuring haddock, lake perch, bluegill and smelt) or the Saturday night prime rib. After dinner, try a scrumptious slice of cake or indulge in the true supper club experience with an ice cream drink.
This local favorite has been serving customer in downtown Rhinelander for more than 100 years and still dishes up tasty dinners from 4 to 9pm daily. Start with truffle fries, order up some spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, or try the haddock fish fry on Friday. Rhinelander Cafe and Pub is also home to the Rhinelander Taproom—“the largest beer tasting room in northern Wisconsin”—which features 24 beers on tap from Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota.

Sitting on the scenic shores of Lake Thompson, Holiday Acres Resort has welcomed Northwoods visitors for 70 years. That hospitality isn’t just for resort guests, as diners at the resorts spacious 3 Coins Restaurant can attest. Head out to dinner from 5 to 9pm Tuesday through Sunday and enjoy savory dishes like pistachio encrusted pork, barbeque ribs and walleye. Don’t miss their Friday night buffet and Sunday morning breakfast.
