Hunting
Deer, turkey & more
Northern Wisconsin provides the perfect setting for hunters, and options for wild game are plentiful in the woods and forests of the Rhinelander Area.
There is abundant public land open to hunters in Hodag Country. The Oneida County Forest, Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest provide thousands of acres of hunting opportunities, whether you’re tracking white-tailed deer, turkey, black bear or ruffed grouse (which are plentiful in the area).
