Open from May through October, this pet-friendly property on Lake George has been family-owned and operated for nearly 50 years. Brekke’s welcomes guests to their cozy one-and two-bedroom cabins, and visitors also have free use of kayaks, paddleboats and stand-up paddleboats to explore Lake George. Other amenities include WiFi, an on-site bar and lounge and a sandy beach.
Holiday Acres Resort
Another longtime favorite of visitors to the Rhinelander Area, Holiday Acres has welcomed Northwoods vacationers since the 1950s. A lodge, vacation homes and one- to four-bedroom cottages populate this scenic site on the shores of Lake Thompson. Holiday Acres is open year-round and offers delicious dining at Three Coins Restaurant and shopping finds at the Turn of the Century Gift Shop.
