Visit Country Festival | Play like a Hodag
It gets a little lonely in all this beautiful open space, so I’m glad so many of y’all are joining me for Hodag Country Festival July 11-14. It’ll be a great show, but the fun doesn’t stop at the festival grounds. Let me show you around—I know Rhinelander better than anyone! Here’s a guide to some of my favorite things to do round these parts.
Hit the town
Rhinelander has a lively dining scene that will keep any festival goer well fueled. Many of our establishments are open late and all offer delicious food and a fun atmosphere that’s a perfect fit for your group. Browse your options here.
Hit the trails
Hodag Country is trail country. Mountain biking, ATVing, hiking—you can do it all in the Rhinelander Area. The trails here are beautiful and uncrowded. If you feel like getting away from it all, check out Rhinelander’s trails!
Rhinelander has a wide range of retailers, so you can find everything you need for your adventure in Hodag Country. Whether you’re looking for a Hodag souvenir to bring home or supplies for the festival, you’ll find it in the Rhinelander Area.
Cruise the lakes
Rhinelander is home to some of the most beautiful lakes and rivers in the Northwoods. Paddlers and boaters will find endless places to explore. Enjoy a float down a scenic river or go for a cruise with your crew on the open water. Anglers can enjoy some of the best fishing in the Midwest. Catch walleye, bass, musky and more.
Note: The Rhinelander Area is open, and all visitors are welcome. Please travel safely and responsibly. Some businesses and events may have modified hours or procedures; please contact businesses or event organizers directly for specific information.
