How to make the most of a Rhinelander summer
Take a look at a calendar and you’ll see summer has officially arrived in Hodag Country. Here are a few ways to make the most of your summer visit to Rhinelander.
Hit the beach.
Summertime means time on the water, and visitors to Rhinelander will find lots of lakes to explore. If you need to cool down, stop by Hodag Park on Boom Lake, where youll find a great swimming beach.
Find some fish.
Speaking of water, the Rhinelander area offers a wide array of fishing options, from largemouth and smallmouth bass to northern pike and musky. Fish some of the best waters in the state, including Boom Lake, Lake George and the Willow Flowage.
Listen to the music.
Want to hear some live music during your trip? Come to town for the Hodag Country Festival from July 11-14 and catch acts like Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich and the Eli Young Band. Or check out Concerts on the Riverwalk on Courtney Street in downtown Rhinelander, held every Wednesday through Aug. 7.
Note: The Rhinelander Area is open, and all visitors are welcome. Please travel safely and responsibly. Some businesses and events may have modified hours or procedures; please contact businesses or event organizers directly for specific information.
