Rhinelander benefits from big snowfall, central location

The Rhinelander Area is the perfect hub for snowmobiling the Northwoods. More than 1,000 miles of trails run throughout Oneida County, and these trails link to thousands more miles of trails throughout northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Here’s a guide to snowmobiling opportunities in Rhinelander.

Throughout the winter, the area’s excellent snowfall and consistently low temperatures help keep trails covered and in top condition. Local snowmobile clubs like the Hodag Sno-Trails groom regularly throughout the winter.

Many restaurants and lodging properties have easy access to area trails.
